I still have a bad taste from my experience with Winchester primers a number of years ago. I won't buy Winchester anything.
I had a LR Win primer do that. But I will add that Winchester treated me fairly, but I switched to CCI.Splitting in the corners?
You remind me of...me!I have and still use Winchester primers. I have 10,000 Federal primers as a backup.
Winchester primers are great.
You remind me of...me!
Funny. Most of the guy's that I shoot against in this state use Winchester SR primers in their short range score rifles for whatever reason. One of them has shot 4 250-25X's and he holds the IBS wipe-out record of 22x's with those just horrible Winchester primers. No they are horrible. Don’t buy Winchester primers. Federal Match are way better.
I really like Winchester primers also. During the shortage I started buying them. Always in stock.
You and me both Butch.Yup, they were purchased when the 205M cost me $100 per case of 5,000. A long time ago, I guess I'm a hoarder!
I think you might have missed where I say I really like themFunny. well unless I can't read,I think you might have missed where I say I really like them
You said no they are horrible, don't buy Winchester primers, Federal match are way better. Then you said I really like Winchester primers also. Your confusing the Hell out of me. I find that I have to match the primers with the powder and barrel that I am using. Example: 205's wouldn't work worth a shit in my 30x47 with a Hart bbl with a stiff load of N133, but BR4's shot lights out. I experiment with different primers when I load multiple rounds for say 10 different rifles in 30BR with usually either H4198 or N130. Ninety nine percent of the time 205's gave me better results in MY 30BR's than either WSR, Rem 7&1/2's, or BR4's.I think you might have missed where I say I really like them
