Winchester M70 project

Gday I've taken on an uncompleted project from a friend of mine
its a Winchester M70 action originaly in 243win, its been rebarreled in 6.5x55swed with a massive 30'' barrel with a 1''1/8 profile. The stock is a Richards thumb hole bench rest, has been bedded not real well. My question is can you over barrel an action? Keen to complete this project to see how it shoots any help would be great.

1.125 barrels are pretty common @ 30" and should not cause you any problems.
1.450 @ 32 is starting to get massive, and still not a problem, usually...
