Winchester Bolt

Came across a winchecter bolt after work Friday-- The one with the button on the side to release the clip--sorry can not remember the model #-----any how the stock had been cut off the barrel had been cut off--It had a Lyman sight--nice but it was bent--so any how I thought the clip was worth more than the gun--then I thought Boyds has a stock--What does it cost to re-barrel--

I could get the gun for about $25-- best guess

Is it worth messing with??-- it was pretty rough

Sounds like a 69, 69A or 75. I think they all used the same action. I have a 69A with the side clip release. Mine has always been a good shooter and someone posted here once about the superior lock time with those actions. Might end up with a great shooting gun with a new stock and barrel.

It is a 69A-- I did go ahead and buy it-----I am in the process of cleaning it up--we will see just how much I want to clean
