Handload your own. How much do you plan to shoot that "Thumper"? It's a great cartridge for cast bullets.
i just got the gun on part of a trade for a guitar. the gun has never been shot. i recently bought 70 rounds for around $170.
i wouldn't imagine it would be for shooting holes in paper but would probably make a good deer or pig gun.
i am checking into getting dies made but i already load for to many different guns now.
thanks for the info.

the guitar was a jc16we traded for a epiphone sheraton11 and the rifle. the rifle is made in america about 1992.Wow. Unshot? That's a rare and valuable bird!
May I ask about the guitar?
thank you or the information. since i don't hunt i will probable just sell it.Try some 358 win brass or reform 308 win brass to 358. You probably can load them and the rifle will probably eject them, just with not as much authority as the 356win brass. Would be fine at the range. I find 356 brass usually under a buck each.
Don't use full 358 win load data though.
You might be able to reform 307 win brass also
Brass is scarce, but you can find it. You just bought 70 rounds! Reloading is easy, and components, other than factory brass, are everywhere. It is too bad that the 307 and 356 didn't get better following. My hang-up was price. Winchester thought because they were new and limited runs that they could jack up the price....when they didn't sell, they quit running them rather than lowering the price. I am still keeping my eyes open for a 307 and a 356. I have a lot of brass because I use it in a couple of wildcats I shoot. When I find one for a reasonable price, I will get one. Until then, I will shoot similar cartridges in my pistols. They are for fun! Enjoy that rifle. You will grow to love it.
