Anyone use Winchester 749? I have about 4lb. It says on the can for 30X47.

That is not Winchester powder that is St Marks powder (General Dynamics)

Its slightly slower than W-748 and a tick faster than W-751. St Marks has produced a vast number of powders over the years. Many never heard of

I zoomed in on one of the bottles. Said it was manufactured for the Russian military and it was pulled down powder.

Its a shame Saint Marks dont do a sheet that shows who they manufacture for and what the powder is related to or named.
I have some "763" powder sold here for .308, not much in the way of load data, but I stumbled on a web page that compared it to Aliant power pro 2000MR. I took a punt and started treating it as such, GRT has it right on the money for what I load. It does carry an SMP lot # .
The local company that sells it here, manufactures ammunition commercialy.

Here is a pound a friend gave me several years ago. I have been using to load 45 ACP. I used the same data I used with Winchester 231. The package date is in 24 Oct 2005.
