Win Mag 300 Hornady Factory Ammo

What factory ammo would you recommend for a 300 Win Mag. Interested in Long Distance Shooting. I have had great success with Hornady ELD Match in my 6.5

Most importantly what bullet size (grains) is best for long distance shooting (1500 to 1 mi)?

Hornady makes a 300 Win Mag ELD Match in 178 gr and 195 gr. What is the practical difference.

Only factory loaded ? You do not reload ? If not go heavier than 178/195. Try the HSM 300 mag with the 210 Berger's. BC is around .63. Should get an honest 3000+ with them. Great loaded ammo. ABM ammo also makes the 300 Win mag with 215 Hybrids. Running them at around 2900. Good luck.

Give either one of those a try. You'll be happy. Not cheap but great options for factory loads.

ABM with 215's. Reloading H1000 with a Berger 215 and Fed GM 215M.

YOU are losing out by not reloading. accuracy and 75% saving ,plus the feeling that I loaded that cartridge

ABM is now Berger Ammo, same product with a different name and box. I might be slightly biased, but you'll be hard pressed to find better ammo off the shelf.

The twist rate of your barrel will determine the bullets you can reliably use.
