Win 760 vs Staball 6.5 Creed.

Staball is a little slower than 760 , is it more or less bulky than 760. I am nearly filling the case with 760 and I don't like to compress loads, but would like to try Staball.

Hodgdon has a lot of load data for 6.5 StaBall in the 6.5CM.

My application is a wildcat for a TC Contender. Just want to know about the bulk.

I looked at the Hodgdon load data and the don't give percent of case fill as some do. Short of physically checking it yourself, I think you will have to call Hodgdon and ask. I also use 760 but in my 260 Remington i think it a good choice for 6.5s in this case cap.

I haven’t played with 6.5 Staball but have had good results with Imr 4451. Burns a little cleaner and about .5 gn difference between h4350 for similar results. Haven’t worked up a 708 load with it yet.

I tried the Staball 6.5 in our 6.5CM and we weren’t impressed at all. We shot over 120 rounds with 4 different bullets, 5 different charge weights, and 3 different seating depth; and none of the groups held a candle to either H4350 or RL-16
