Had been using the power adapter with my Wilson trimmer and had two of them go out of true when using them with a power drill. The problem with the setup is that the bit comes with an ultralock connector for fast attachment to drills that can take advantage of this feature. This is nice from the standpoint of easy chucking but the problem is when it is chucked up, there is at least a half inch of the thinner shank exposed before you get to that thick part that screws onto the trimmer head. That thinner part is what bends easily if you put any side pressure on it. They must have used cheap steel because it bends very easily.
What I have found is if you cut off that last part of the untralock connector, you can now chuck the adapter up so that the head of the drill chuck is right up against the trimmer head, so no exposed shank and so no leverage to bend the shank – no leverage, less chance for a bent adapter! works like a charm!
