Wilson Barrels

Any one have any knowledge about Wilson barrels

Cooper owns Wilson and uses their barrels on all their rifles unless ordered otherwise if that tells you anything. I've only got four Coopers, all shoot right at .25" @ 100 yds. Two thumbs up from this corner.

Not all Wilson barrels are created equal the Cooper barrels are their match grade lapped barrels.
Wilson makes barrels for a lot of manufacturers, they make a tremendous amount of barrels for the various AR-15 manufacturers. Basically they will make barrels to whatever standard the manufacturer requests. I have looked at a few of their standard grade barrels and they seem to be as good as any other mass-produced after market barrel, I would not be hesitant to purchase one.

Not to nitpick but Wilson does not own Cooper, they are two separate entities owned by the same individual. Cooper Arms had been using Wilson barrels for quite a few years and when Dan Cooper got himself into hot water over his political donations the owner of Wilson purchased Cooper Arms.

No nothing has changed I was just pointing out that they are separate entities, although they are owned by the same person but are two different companies.

The Wilson Arms barrels are Select Match Grade, button rifled barrels; lapped and air gauged to .0002". The blanks in are 27" to finish at 26" or less... These barrels are the same quality as a Shilen Select match; Douglas XX; and even the X-caliber barrels .458 45-70

If I am not mistaken JP Enterprises uses the Wilson Barrels. Totally different application but JP’s are known to shoot very well and the barrels have a good reputation.

From what I’ve heard Wilson Barrels now owns Cooper Firearms .
