It is a gamble. Maybe it will and maybe it won't. I had a Dasher that shot that small and the ES Was slightly less. At 1000 yards, it would not shoot under 13 inches and it was all vertical. Matt
Thats not how I read it.So... You want to increase the variation in velocity to get rid of vertical?
Fact is small groups with low ES don't guarantee small groups and low vertical at distance.
Due to the weather 100yd. is all I can shoot right now. Wisdom of the crowd, Tom, Alex, anybody is this likely to hold together at 500 + ?
No, that's not what I mean. It could shoot great there, but it's not a guarantee. I just gave an example of what can happen. It's mostly about Barrel harmonics and if it will carry to 500 or 1000. I have seen many good ES spreads and great 100 yard groups fall apart at distance. I believe the only way to know for sure is shoot at distance. MattSo... You want to increase the variation in velocity to get rid of vertical?
is there a closer distance ( 200,300,400, etc,) that the group shot at this closer range will correlate to the expected group size shot at longer ranges or do you strictly have to test at the longer range. thanks in advance.Thats not how I read it.
Fact is small groups with low ES don't guarantee small groups and low vertical at distance.
Thanks Guys
I knew going in there was no guarantee. I was looking for an educated guess on how likely that load would hold up based on known loads for the 6BRA.
Bart -- I have not been above 30.8, 30.6 and lower don't shoot well, Until I can shoot at 500 I see no reason for further testing, that is why I asked the question in the beginning.
