Will the 105 Berger Hybrid stabilize in a 9 twist?

I acquired some 105 Bergers hybrids from a buddy and reloaded some of them today for my factory 6mmRem which had a 9 twist, now I see Berger recommends a 8 twist for them, so my question is will my 9 twist stabilize them or have they for your 9 twist?

I doubt they will as they are very long but I have heard of some stabilizing 05 a-max bullets in a 1:10 so give it a try and see, remember just because they stabilize at 100 yards doesn't mean they will at further ranges.

Bryan Litz told me that the 105 Hybrid was designed for an 8" twist @ 2800 fps. I don't think a 9" twist will stabilize a 1.292" long bullet. My 9" twist 6mm Rem shoots both the 95 Berger VLD and Sierra 95 MK very well. I never tried shooting the 105 Hybrid in the 9" barrel. My 6mm Rem with an 8" twist shoots them quite well, although I've had better results from the 115 DTAC in that caliber. YMMV

I believe a 9 twist for the 105 Berger Hybrid will be marginal. That being said, you may see SOME accuracy up close like 200- 300 yards, but farther out it will open up.
