I have BVSS laminated stock for a particular project. Wondering if the 3 screw single shot action would fit. Thank you

Probably not. Savage changed the action screw spacing on the single shot actions. Go to the sharpshootersupply.com website for information on the various screw spacings. I was about to try a BVSS stock on my single shot action and was warned that it wouldn't work without modifications. They were correct, the spacing was different. Vic
I have seen 2 that where drilled for the screws and pillar bedded into BVSS stocks, works just fine if you don't mind doing a little work.
I'm in the process of installing a PTA into a short action BVSS stock. Of course, the stock was for the older 4.275 action screw spacing!
I built up a plug for the magazine well by gluing pieces of 1/2" plywood together and trimming it for a good fit. Then I mixed up some strong epoxy and epoxied the plug into the magazine well.
Then, after careful measuring, I drilled holes through the stock for the new location of the front screw,4.4" from rear screw) and the new hole for the center screw. I glued hardwood dowels into these holes and drilled the proper stepped holes into the dowel to accept the original piller from the BVSS stock. Actually, I bought a new set of pillers from Savage. I drilled the holes to allow some wiggle room for when I piller bed the action. Then, I will glass bed the action as well.
The only hitch is the color of the dowel will not match the stock. I plan on coating the exposed dowels with black paint before I re-finish the stock.
You will not need to install two dowels, I did to make the holes similar. The best size dowel is 7/8" as then the front hole can be moved forward enough and the piller holes will be concentric.
