will 6.5 284 feed from 30-06 bdl box mag

thinking about rebarreling my 700 BDL 25-06 to a 6.5x284 ,,will the fatter case feed 100% from the factory BDL box mag without grinding on anything??

You may need to file just a little bit on the feed lips.
And by that i mean only a couple of swipes with the file.

I built mine from a Remington chambered in 270 win, 15 years ago it feeds fine. I would think feed rails are the same for a 30-06.

You will not have to do anything to it. I have built many 6-284's and 6.5-284's on standard Remington long actions with no feeding issues.

I have done two for people , only thing I did was polish the underside of the rails. Polish not grind, only changes the surface finish not the shape of the rails. So yes , it should work fine.

Good choice! H-4831 should get you around 2900+ pretty easily. I use Retumbo and get 3,040 fps out of my two 26" Bartleins. One is on a LA '06 action.

Use VV165 with your 6.5-284 it is one of the coolest burning powders out there and will be easy on the barrel. Shoots REALLY GOOD TOO.
