Wondering, if you have a "wildcat" you are working on, can you extrapolate potential max loads for your cartridge by comparing powder capacities from your cartridge to another cartridge where there is load data for? Same caliber and lets assume everything forward of the case mouth are identical
Case in point, I am messing with a cartridge that has a powder capacity to the case mouth, of 1.7 grains less than the 6.5 grendel has of the same powder (ball powder). I there a formula available to figure out what might be a max. powder charge for different powders utilizing the weight difference? Something along the lines of square root of the weight of the powder capacity difference or ???
