This Wiland barrel is pretty much designed for speed shooting, though I think would make an awesome home defense build as well. It will fit most any AR Upper, and while legal at 16” for a rifle, the barrel is only just over 5” with a tube pinned and welded to make up the difference. I used a number of these barrels when building rifles for a collegiate SASP team I coached and they won two national championships with them. It’s not only lighter but shifts pretty much all the weight back between the hands. This one is new, ($165 retail) and I’ll let it go for $140 shipped.
