Wicked Cold Weather This Week

Grew up in Ohio, walked down a 1/4 mile long lane in blizzards and hoped the school bus would come. 72 now and still climb in the old Skidsteer to plow out the neighbors. Heated cabs are for sissies. Usually about a 4+ mile circuit to get everyone. Nice cup of hot chocolate usually waiting when I get back home.

Had a little warm up the last few days with above zero temps in the
morning and low twenty's during the day......Round two starts shortly.
Gas bill did set a record. $42 bucks higher then I've ever seen it. Electric
bill comes in next week, May need to mortgage the house.....LOL

Welcome to sunny south Florida! According to an actual thermometer and the weather service it was 25 degrees here in Loxahatchee, Florida. We had snow in 1976. Back in the 1980 when we moved from town in the sticks we had a lot of days that started in the mid or high 30s, but I think that 25 was the coldest I've ever seen here. I was out spec fishing one night on the Big "O" and it was low 30s and misting rain and the wind was blowing, that may be coldest chill factor Ive ever seen in Florida.

The deep freeze is over, here it Texas! Yesterday, temps rose to the mid 60s. In the sun, I started sweating in just a flannel shirt and jeans while making some improvements to my new pistol range. So glad I picked Texas over Florida! I read that the Iguanas are falling out of the trees. The “News wimps” say it’s “dangerous to go outside”!

Global warming is the problem as it changes what drives the Ocean currents.
It's all about the conveyor belt system......We have El Nino, La Nina, and this
one I'm calling El Ninny......LOL
What I don't get is exactly why drama is now the top of the agenda in weather forecasts.

???

Just give me some facts and I'll decide for myself if panic is a sound reaction.

Hint - panic is NEVER a sound reaction.

That bread, eggs and milk ain't gonna do you no good if the power is out.

Its been really mild in Eastern WA so far this winter, and I've been enjoying range time, although the coyote hunting has been piss poor. We still have a month or so and then it should continue to be smooth sailing till spring. The wood stove has been on a low idle, so I shouldn't have to cut too many loads this spring/summer, although it is a hobby for me which I enjoy.

I've only found one guy on YouTube that seems to be, just the facts. I like his show and there's no fear mongering or no running to the store to buy eggs, bread and toilet paper. I call the other guys out on using clickbait and then tell them that they must be getting paid by the toilet paper bread and egg companies along with the milk producers. Some of them get pissy and even reply back.
