Why you need a 3d printer

As an old guy i have to say that strikes me as a bit anal but Im also jealous as Id like to have the know how and the printer itself to be able to make stuff like that. I seem to have plenty of technical challenges allready without stacking more on top. I need one of those lasers also to label my carbide primer tools and a bunch of other stuff. Some of these old people my age say they have nothing to do but i dont think i will ever run out

I use a lot of those at work and home. They are nice but sometimes I find them to be to long or to short. With the printer you could make exactly what you need so I find some value in that, along with all the other things you can do with one.

Good information but, as all things its another time consumer.

I'm holdout for the 3D metal printer. Print your own rifle brass, etc. I can buy alot of plastic boxes for 1000 dollars.

I've probably tripled my amount of usable drawer space making custom Gridfinity bins. And everything is neat and tidy.

I can't tell you how many times I've spent digging through toolbox drawers looking for stuff for 20 or 30 minutes and can't find it, only to go back 10 minutes later and there it is. Making drawers neater and organized saves tons of time for sure...

If you're a tinkerer... McMaster has 3D models of everything. If you need gears, for example... grab their model and print it.

I was hesitant about 3d printing for a year or so do to watching YouTube. Seamed like most the videos were about how to mod a stock printer just to make it work. About 4 months ago I bought a crealty ender 3 pro s3. It works great right out of the box. I have been down loading files from thingaverse. Chances are someone has already made what you want. I have the printer running all week. Has been fun to learn something new. I just started learning to print with pla+ and petg. Goal is to work up to carbon filled nylon so I can print my own guns from scratch. For know I am just printing mlok attachments, and different kinds of organizers.
