Why are so many high end scopes up for resale

Scopes like many things in this sport are just a tool. Like many tools the use of the tool comes down to what works best for a person to accomplish the job, as well as what someone can afford. When you can afford and/or appreciate a better tool or you want to try a new one you sell your old one and move on. It’s not a knock on the old tool as it’s probably an great upgrade for the next guy. In the end it’s just a tool circle of life.

Better to sell before they get old. New things coming out make the old ones harder to sell. I have a Pentax 20 yrs old that I can't sell even though it's a great scope. T36's are gonna get that way.
I have so much old stuff that nobody wants to buy ...I'm not gonna give it away.
