Why 6 BRA?

Bart, I didnt read this whole thread but its kind of been a bit of a theme with this case. What most dont get is it makes no difference if I am backed up 3 months or a year, you can only do so much, so you make the same money regardless. I am about burnt out on giving free info to the competition.
I hear ya brother!!!!

I agree with what Hal said earlier, always going to be those that look at the glass as half empty. As Bart said piss on the minority cos the vast majority from what I’ve read of yourself hold your opinion in high regard and appreciate the time, money and FREE advice you selflessly give..and not just with BRA. Why let the minority ruin it for the majority of good people?

Cheers Rushty

I know if I am ever lucky enough to have this much success with another case I sure wont be nice enough to give away the prints and load data. If people are going to imply I am pushing something to line my pockets, I might as well keep it secret and line my pockets.

Alex I'm sure glad Sam Hall didn't feel that way. Most of us still Love ya!! Raise your prices some. I didn't ask how much when I sent you that mag bolt to fit to my action. My 25 Rsaum is one handy deer slayer. Thanks. Stephen

I'm no expert shooter and got a 6BRA when I was offered the loan of a reamer and to get in on the order for a set of Whidden dies after posting a "what cartridge" question to get back into 500m fly and 1000td br on our local forum.

Good excuse to show you my rifleView attachment 1024848

and a target shot at a 300 yd match with fireforming loads

You are performing a service and more than most. You sure as hell ought to be making a fair price for your labors. Some folks call that lining your pockets. F F F F them.
I send my shooter/students to your website all the time for an education. Hope you don't take it down now.

I more agree with the “piss on them” approach. You’re providing a hell of a service to new shooters and those wanting to learn/improve. Many people on here recommend new shooters talk to a good Smith about what they want and listen to their advice. As you can tell by responses, most appreciate your advice and info that you provide to all, not just paying customers.

The rest of them will always find something to bitch about, so..... piss on them.

I just finished the report for that match for publication on the IBS page on this site. As part of my research, I routinely interview shooters who finished at or near the top. From those conversations I can tell you that conditions were reported as horrible due to the wind, both velocity and unpredictability. This was not a good match to make comparisons between different case designs.
Yep the wind is your friend I love it makes a equal playing field for every one who reads it best with good equipment prevails.

The wind has never been my friend. At 600 we were acquaintances but at 1k I dont like it.
Alex you have known me long enough to know R an D what keeps the game we shoot competitive that's why I am already thinking about next year about cartridges to be the cats meow I made cases yesterday to check case capacities an what I think the magic velocity we need to be at to agg well maybe or maybe not that's what keeps us driving for ultimate accuracy.PS left to right 6mmbr Ackley my reamer 6mm dasher new case 6mmx47 40 degree .100 thousands short.

Tim showed me a pic of someone shorting a 47case, along with the target, it sure looked promising !!

I agree 100%
Once the r&d is over and we're just looking for good barrels Im done with it.... r&d is what keeps the winners winning and makes it fun IMO.
I agree too. It takes a special breed to spend the time, money and resources proving out new ideas...big or small. Most people want to sit on their thumbs and wait for others to do the work. I applaud anyone who thinks outside of the box trying to gain an edge on the competition. Short range group has pretty much become, as you say, a barrel contest. Or as I say...IROC racing, where everyone competes with virtually identical equipment. UBR has changed that, to some degree, within the short range BR for Score discipline. The rules allow for just about any rifle to compete in one or more classes and it's a caliber neutral score game. Again...thinking outside of the box and succeeding at it. That game is the best kept secret in shooting sports! IIRC, it has grown to the point where it is being contested in 23 states. I think that's more than IBS or NBRSA....and it's a relatively new sanctioning organization.

For the OP. Why not? It does the same thing with less powder, is easier to fire form, and so far is kicking butt in competitions.

Ok so it does not have a cool sounding name like the Dasher. Will it go the way of the BRX which is just as good as the dasher but does not have as cool a sounding name? We will see.
