well since you asked,,,I have used Kiff (PT&G) for many years and have one reamer (6mmBR) that has done 50+ chambers and is still sharp as a razor,,,,I have prolly 35 different Kiff reamers that are all perfect,,,If you "know" what you want/need he can get it right ,,,most people who have truble with PT&G dont know what they need untill it is allready in the works then call and change their mind because of a casual conversation down at the safari club over cocktails,,,,I usually tell Dave that I want to use Redding Full length type "S" bushing dies and his reamer will make a chamber that works in concert with their off the shelf dies,,,,most of the problems that folks have are when they think that they gotta have a 300$$ custom resize die made and then have sizeing issues and bolt click on opening and blame the reamer makes rather than the die maker,,,If you want to make a resize die or have one made I reccomend getting a resize reame made at the the same time as the chamber reamer then your custom die maker can get it right,,,,the "shooters" who have the biggest ammount of problems are those who needlessly complicate the process by checking in every other day hopeing that their "clout" will move their item ahead of us lil" guys,,,,I have PPC's--BR's (22-6mm-30)-various 06' wildcats and standards,,,the whole family of .308 stuff (.243-.260-7mm-some AI's) and have no issues with fit or function,,,,we are not building hardware store guns and need to expect logistical delays with reamers-actions-bbls-stocks-etc....Roger

I guess I should have included in my post that I currently have 7-8 PT&G reamers in my inventory.

Like I said, I`m not here to start a brawl, I just want to hear what is your manufacturer of preference and why, no wrong answers.

I currently have Clymer, Manson and JGS reamers. I cant tell one from the other in use...only the name written on the side is different.

I use JGS, when a customer sends me a brand XXX reamer the surface finish and the way they cut is just night and day. Also when I send JGS a dummy, I can put that dummy in the chamber and its just touching the lands, not .040" or more off like I have had from another maker. Theres a reason JGS just bumped their lead times from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. They are getting busier and busier.

PTG everyone I have got from Dave has been perfect. He gets negative comments but when all is done and I have reamers they are perfect.

Kiff and PTG, always satisfied.

+2. I've relied on Dave Kiff and his advice each and every time I've rechambered any of my rifles. PTG and Dave's advice/suggestions have always provided me (and many shooting friends) excellent and very accurate results.
