Who's got a new truck ?

I'm looking for a new full size P/U truck.

Who's got a new one .... how do you like it and what did you have before.

I am leaning towards a Tundra or a GMC Sierra, but have not done any research as of yet.

Lemme' know

Thanks

On my 4th Silverado, considered Ram at one time and Tundra, the incentives for chev have always worked out for me. Tundra, sorry Toyota far over rated im. American branded vehicles are far more comfy than Asian vehicles for my larger frame. a coworker has a Tundra and it gets 17-18 mpg at best on commute and my silverado gets an easy 21-22.
just a Silverado kinda guy. The Sierra has too much Foo Foo fancy stuff for me, I’m simple farm boy.

Tundra is likely MORE American than your Chevy. The engines are built in Decatur, AL and the trucks are fully assembled in Toyota's San Antonio plant.
The multitude of issues I encountered with Chevy and Ford pickups over the years truly left me with a disdain for both and the current mountain of issues my bud's 2018 F150 has and is having is just unreal.

Was always a Chevy guy but my last two have been Fords. Had a 2010 F350 diesel and now a 2019 F250 gasser. Both trucks have been good to me, just regular maintenance.
It probably depends on what you need the truck for? Just picking up groceries and a couple things from Home Depot or pulling a load of firewood out of the woods?

I'm kinda looking myself.. I have a 2008 "Silver-Ray-Doe" as some folks say. Its just a 8' bed plain Jane.. I'll go back with same.. Hopefully car/truck market will crash and I can get a deal.

Recently got a 2023 Silverado 1500 with the LZ0 duramax engine and the multipro tailgate.

I sold my 2016 Silverado 2500 with the 6.6 duramax. I just couldn't afford a new 2500 duramax.

Only have 1100 miles on it but the fuel mileage is insane. Absolutely love everything about the truck, hope it doesn't have any serious problems.

My last gas engined truck was a Toyota with the 381 horse 5.7L V-8. Pass anything but a gas station.
I am now back to a Dodge half-ton. It's an Eco-Diesel. 20-21 in town, just drove 650 miles to Kali and back. 25 mpg and comfy. It's a Limited, every option but the kitchen sink. It could be in the back seat somewhere, but since I paid it for it I sit in the front bucket.

It will likely be my last truck, this rush to electric leaves me cold as ice.

For what it's worth
Dave Smith motors in Kellogg ID.
Cheby or Dodge is up to you.
I've saved thousands compared to local.
Check'm out out for yourself and make a conscious decision.
But remember lil boys wear bow ties and big boys RAM it!!

Dog buster Mine in a GMC 2005 with the 6 liter, and it has about 225 miles was coming home from mowing my property near Daytona. and went the whole way in the right lane at 55mph some lady in Port Saint Lucie decided that i was not moving fast enough and went around me and into the exit ramp and just missed the front bumper. The next exit was even closer and I had to swerve into the middle lane to miss her. Only hing was in the middle lane and left lane they were going 75 mph not 55. So i gassed it and was cursing and screaming for about two more exits and noticed I was the only one around and the speedo said 90. 18 year old truck 11000 lb capacity trailer Ford 2910 tractor and Woods bush hog and a truck bed full of chainsaws, tools and coolers. Accelerator pedal was an inch off the floor. Its ugly, gets terrible mileage, smells like a sweaty carpenter but it still will pull, just like GMC intended. One thing I do hate is it on its 4 water pump.
