Well here is the stock. And just like everyone said the Richards stocks take a bit of work to get finished.

I have a list of stuff to do before this thing is done it goes a little like this:

1. Drill and tap holes for scope base
2. Get a trigger
3. Finish the stock
4. Sand blast and paint the barrelled action
5. Get glass.
6. Get the wilson loading dies I need
So here is the tough part my buddy the gun plumber had a baby the 7-14(also my birthday). So hope fully a month and i will have every thing done. I will keep you posted

Send it,
I have a 7.7 mm jap arisaka in a sporterized stock and I stoned the trigger myself otherwize it is original, even still has the (cersantimum) sp? on it most of them were removed by orders from the emperior and General McCarther. It has a williams peep on it and I can easly hit milk jug's @ 400 yards with it :) I think it is neat you are doing somthing different!! just about anybody could take a Bat action a hart barrel jewell trigger and a shahane stock chambered in 6 dasher and make it shoot. Keep us all informed I don't know how this thread slipped by me for so long. A update is in order.
Wayne.

Thanks guys for all your interest in my build, and sorry for neglecting you guys of updates. Please take the follwoing as my experiences only.

I am fine and the rifle is unshot. I got that Richard's stock, and once i got to shaping it I realized the inlet and barrel channel were in crooked. So I placed a call and they happily told me to send it back and they would look at it and if my assumptions were correct they would make me a new one. At that point I asked if I could upgrade the laminate and they said no problem. Well the second stock came and it was crooked too.... Here comes the part were I thought I would get screwed around and to my surprise I didn't. I called back and told the young lady on the phone I had an issue for the second time and she said there was a good chance they wouldn't be able to satisfy my needs and asked if would just like a refund and I said yes. I dropped off the stock and they made my return very pleasant. In my opinion this situation could not have gone any better and even though I didnt get a stock I was treated extremely well. These guys have supplied tons of stocks to tons of people so you may want to give them a try.

Plan B. I'm going to be sending the barreled action off to Joel Russo and pay the money to have him write a custom program for the arisaka. This project is taking forever I am getting very antsy to get it done. Russo says it may take up to 10 weeks for me to get the stock back. It will be bedded and ready for 400 grit and finish when i get it.

I will get you guys an update when I ship off the action, it will probably be next week.

Happy shooting
