Who should i have do an AI

I am wanting to get my 223 AI"ed and just wondering who I should sent it to. It is a Savage model 12

You could buy a barrel from Fred Moreo at SS supply and install it your self , but his web sight does not list a 223 AI in his 22 cal chambering choices. he did a 22-250AI for me and it has shot the 75 amax quite well as well as the lighter weight bullets. if you can come up with the right reamer , send it to him and he will do the work for you. ronfoster

I'm not sure I would spend any money on AI'ing a factory Savage barrel. Buy a Shilen prefit, sell your factory tube, there won't be much difference in cost, you'll get a better barrel. If your dead set on spending money on a used barrel send it to Kevin Rayhill, he'll probably try to talk you out of it.
