Who can thread my tommy gun for an AAC Ti- Rant Suppressor?

Ti-Rant is ordered and on the wait list. I would like to find a quality machinist to thread my stock 16'' barrel to be able to thread this on directly in .578x28. The gun will be sent with the complete upper to work with.

Any hints, tips, or recommendations for me? Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think a 16"can be done through the head stock. Larry

So would it help to have the barrel removed by Auto Ordinance and then send it somewhere, or am I missing the point.

If the guess a removable upper and you know the thread you won't need a class 3 gun smith. Larry
Ok. I'm learning something here I think. If it is sent as a receiver, it needs to be a class 3 to be threaded? If I just send a barrel, then anyone can thread it? Sorry if I'm not following correctly. I also should have said in the topic that it just needs to be threaded. I will put a suppressor, muzzle brake or a thread protector on it at my discretion.

So, I live in North Idaho, and I would like the know a recommended place or person to send my uper receiver to that can do what they need to, (remove and replace barrel) and thread the barrel of an Auto Ordinance/ Kahr Arms M1 Thompson .45. The thread pitch can be a standard thread of 5/8x 24 if I can get an adapter for the can.
Thanks for the help,
Dave.

Any gunsmith can thread your barrel- legally and simply. The only problem youd have is finding somebody that can remove that barrel from your action- im sure thats why nobody is stepping up to do it for you. Kahr may be your safest bet or maybe your suppressor mfr

Thanks guys,

I plan on giving Khar a call. I know they replace barrels, so it may be my best bet to get it removed at least. I will post what they reply in case any one else wants to know. I'm not familiar with Toronado Technologies, but I will check into them as well. The Tommy with a can just sounds too fun!

Arvin , have your can picked out prior to threading . It's getting more common for suppressor Manufact to have a specific thread design ,and class of thread not just OD x tpi . Now they have cones , angles , flats all acting as seats . Make sure you tell the smith it's for a can and needs to be exact .
Now that I see you've picked out a can , get the thread specs from them and make sure it's done to those specs .
