Who can make me a Savage 221 Remington Fireball barrel?

I recently purchased one and love the way it shoots so looking at having one made. Wanting 24 inch stainless bull or heavy varmint profile with target crown 1-12 twist in 221 Fireball. Savage small shank threads.
PM prices and time frame.

You DO know you'll have to single feed and do without the ejector rod don't you?? Short case pops off the bolt head as it clears the chamber. :(
Found that out YEARS AGO so all my rigs are set up as single shots with NO ejector rods. Case stays on the bolt head till YOU pick it off.;)

Any gunsmith out there can do that for you. Take your pick.

Can even buy a pre-fit that you screw on yourself.

That’s how I like to run most of mine.

Same here. Easier to grab the brass from the bolt face and place it back in the ammo box rather than trying to stop it from flying out the ejection port and picking it off the ground or floorboards of the truck.

To fix the short case savage issue you can remove the ejector, file the bottom of the slot for the ejector retaining pin. This raises the ejector up so it is flush with the front of the bolt head.

I had the same issue with my 300 Blackout but this fixed it. The Fireball case is 1.400” and the 300 Blackout is 1.368”.

A factory fireball bolt works just like it should. The only difference is the placement of the extractor.
There is NO "factory Fireball" from Savage. That's where the DIY comes in.
I believe Remington, Cooper and a few others make "Factory chambered Fireballs"? And from what I've heard, they work pretty well.:D:cool:
AND, if you're into it, they can be switched to a 20 VT if that's your flavor and feed like you want.;) And some guys just can't leave well enough alone.:p:)

Yep, Stan is getting me some pricing now on having one made. I have seen some other listed but really want a heavy barrel and most are light weight varmint taper and since I'm going to use it for target work weight wont be an issue. As far as feeding goes I'm single feeding anyway and have removed the ejector so I don't have to chase my brass.
