I'm wanting to do a classic build and have decided on a Pierce but I'm kinda wanting a nice blued action for this. Who offers bluing services that does a good job. I'm wanting a nice rich hot blue look.

Thanks!

Hot blue, never! Rust blue for any custom or classic. My Pierce custom has a rust blue. I can show pics later today if you want.

There's a guy with a plan! Slow rust blue is the only way to go. If you don't know what slow rust blue is, you don't know as much about firearms and fine finishes as you think you do. It's not only more durable and visually appealing, it'll out last a hot caustic blue many times over.

Glenrock Blue in Glenrock, Wyoming does fantastic work.
They did the rings and bases for Weatherby rifles for many years.

There iwas a guy here in garden city, Idaho that did alll the guns for everybody for miles around!! If you don't find any one let me know and I will try and find him for you. That was all he did was blueing, Ron

Wow. I didn't know Specialty Part Bluing was a thing. I always did my own. I need to keep this thread in mind next time I want a "pro" job!
