Whidden reloading dies

Am going to order a set of Whidden reloading dies for a custom .308. Should I get the standard fl sizer or the fl die that used bushings to size the neck.. Also would you get the WHhdden seater die or use the Wilson seater die?

Whidden. If you have non factory neck and turn your brass, I would go with bushing set. Get his seater too. I have 3 complete die sets from him. Nothing but positive results. And customer service is top notch

Am I reading their web site wrong or is not their 2 Die custom set a Full Length Sizing Die and Neck Bushing Die a combination die depending on how far down you set it in the press, along with a micrometer seating die?

I have the FL Die and seater. Very vine. Great service. Make sure you order the case gauge. You will not know how you did without it. Makes setting shoulder setback very easy.

the bump gauge is good, but I ordered the case gauge too. makes setting the dies real easy. nice quality product.

Whidden custom and never looked back. The only bad thing about Whidden Custom dies is that it takes so long to get them.

Short of a full custom die made from a Newlon blank by someone that knows how to make a die correctly, nothing beats a Whidden die. The service and customer support matches the quality of their work. I have several and love them.

Nice dies are wonderful to use. But make sure your chamber is of equivalent quality.
If you have a huge max size chamber sizing your brass with a first class die is probably not the best combination.
Try a minimum chamber with minimum sizing with everything straight and concentric. It will pay off with less drama.

I prefer the bushing dies so I can control the neck tension and really like my Whidden dies. I prefer the Wilson seater in an arbor press over the standard seating dies, but that's just more of a convenience/routine thing for me. I've never used the Whidden seaters but I'm sure they're top notch.
