Whidden Custom vs. Off the Shelf Dies

Why not just use a bushing in your bushing die to do everything in one pass?
I have had problems with doughnuts in the 284. I do use a bushing to size the upper half of the neck at times. When the doughnut builds, I use the mandrel of the LCD to push it out while sizing the neck.

Is the custom bushing sizer worth the money over the standard FL bushing die they offer? I'm building a .295 neck 6.5x284.

I used Whidden off the shelf FL bushing die to resize my 6x47 and love them. Especially that I did not have to send them a fire formed case and dummy round.

is there solid evidence custom fit dies improve accuracy over many of the fine off the shelf match grade dies.

Any help would be appreciate. BB
I use both a Forster Custom honed FL resizing die for 6.5/47 and Whidden resizing bushing die for my 6.5 SAUM. Both dies resize brass that when checked on a concentricity checker runout less than .001” consistently.
I use the Forster bullet seating die and the Custom sizing die in a CoAx press and use the Whidden sizing die in a T7 with the seating die setup in a Rock Chucker that I leave the die installed in.
I run a .262” button in the Forster and no button with a .290 bushing in the Whidden. I run a Sinclair .262” mandrel after sizing SAUM brass.
Either die works great.
