Whidden Click Adjustable FL Bushing Sizer

Anyone have experience using these? I struggle to get my shoulder pump perfect when switching between different makes of brass for one caliber. I always end up sizing one or two pieces a couple times to get things right. For example I use Lapua, LC and Winchester for several 223 rifles each needing a different shoulder bump.

Even if I just use one die for one kind of brass, how to these click dies work?

Even if you are using the same brass in the same rifle, the setting can change due to:
- number of firings and work hardening of the brass (unless you anneal every firing)
- difference in max pressure of the load
- difference in lube application
- etc, etc

Like @Dusty Stevens said, start a few clicks high with the die and adjust it in. I've used the click adjustable dies and they work as intended, but I tend to do my die adjustment somewhat differently.

This has been my experienced and caused a fair amount of head scratching and frustration for me. I would adjust the die for the appropriate shoulder bump, do another case and it would be off by .0010" or so. Switching between say my Lapua fired in a bolt gun to LC fired in a gas gun is also a pain to get the shoulder dialed. I have a seperate die for the gas gun now but I still use several kinds of brass in my bolt gun which in my experience do require a re setting up of the die. I'm still figuring out how annealing effects all this as well.

I have a couple of them. I like them. The lockring works but leaves some to be desired.

I keep a die set up per chamber I'm actively using (if the chambers are different in some way)

I have used both the Whidden click adjustable die and the click adjustable lock rings. While I liked the die, I did not like the lock ring. I have found the easiest and most consistent is a bushing die in a co-ax press. Once the die is set up for shoulder bump, and locked using a lock ring, its set. I have a .223 bolt gun and a .223 gas gun. I use a different die for each.
Lots of different ways to do this. This is the way that works for me.

Some pieces of brass will not size the same at the shoulder. Annealing helps some. Also, you will find that lube on the shoulder will effect the amount of movement.
