Which spotting scope for prone shooters?

Looking for recommendations for a prone spotting scope to read mirage when I am shooting. I want to be able to see at least several targets at 1000 yards. High eye piece magnification is not required. Angled body is a must.

celestron regal 100mm can be had for around 600.00 if you look around has same glass as high priced kowa

I have a Kowa 821 series with the angled mount, and a 27x long eye relief eyepiece that I use to shoot NRA HP. It works great, and I'm very pleased with it. And yes it is pricey, but I looked at it as an investment to see my target at 600 yds on out to 1000yds. Go to your next match, talk to other shooters, and look through their scopes. Make sure that you're pleased with the focus ability of the scope, is it smooth, is it consistant and repeatable. Is it comfortable to use in the prone position.

I also have the Kowa 821 with the 27x LER lens. Use it for when I'm scoring another shooter. Was looking for a second scope when I'm shooting. Want a wider field of view then the 27x LER offers.

My feeling is that if you want a wider view, your only choice is either the Vortex Razor HD or the Kowa 88 Prominar scope. Hands down, the Prominar is the best scope out there!

Razor HD is an outstanding piece of glass
