Looking for the opinions of my fellow shooters.
I have shot F-class for a couple of seasons now using a Leupold 6.5-20. The Sightron 10-50 is available now and the 8-32 is available with the same choice of reticles as the 10-50. I am considering buying one of these two scopes because I think the higher magnification would be helpful.
Here's the dilema as I see it. I think the 8-32 would provide sufficient magnification, although I would be willing to spend more for the added power of the 10-50. The 8-32 offers 70 min. of elevation vs. 50 min for the 10-50. This increased range of adjustment may offset the advantage of higher magnification, at least to my way of thinking. Lastly, the 8-32 has 1/4 min. adjustments vs. 1/8 min. on the 10-50. This is where I really am at a loss. I usually hold off for windage, so would you consider the 1/8 min. adjustment to really be that useful? I like the idea of the 10-50, but do you think the 8-32 would do the job just as well and cost a bit less to boot?
All replies are appreciated.
