which savage action

i am looking to build a 30-06 or a 7mm mag whitch savage action do i need i am not sure what is the difference any better or any worse than others staggered feed or straight feed.prefer stainless thanks
 
I like the straight feed as it is smooth and doesnt scratch the bass as bad as a staggered.There are stocks out now for the straight feed too.
 
Whichever is cheaper.

There are fewer widely available long action centerfeed stocks available than there are LA staggerfeed (ie. Hogue, Choate, B&C, etc.)...of course, McMillian, Stockade, Manners, etc. would be happy to build you one...
