One of the smaller 6mm variants would do nicely. I am having good luck with 6 ARC in F-class midrange (600 yards) shooting Berger 105 Hybrids. 6 PPC is almost identical to 6 ARC. 6 Dasher is another reasonable choice.

Yes, some of my F-class buddies are having success with the 6BR at 600 yards. I scored one of them that cleaned his target.

I did it once. But it was only just one time in perfect weather conditions.

The 30 Br seems most prevalent. I don't think there's a factory rifle in that caliber.

Tikka first, then Remington.

Between Savage and Remington, I use both, but Remington #1, Savage #2. Don't overlook the 6PPC for what you want. Easy to tune and shoots so well. Also a nice 22 PPC would work, as proven over the years.

I would Look for a used custom, they are out there and can be found for about the same you will end up spending on the factory gun once your done and will have a better gun. My 2 cents. Good luck

For 300 yard score, still a 30BR, 2d choice, 6PPC.

Of course, nobody at this time is making a “Factory” rifle in either of these.

Go to Shooters Corner and take your pick, there are usually plenty to choose from, and some pretty nice ones. With some Ive seen the prices are so low I would not even consider building one. A few years back I bought an older Hall with a newish Kreiger barrel in 6PPC, Ive shot several 5 shoot groups in the zeros. I don't know enough about loading for conditions to keep it tuned. It was bought for $1300. There is nothing ive ever seen that could shoot as good for that kind of money.
