Which reticle for precision work

What type of scope reticle do you guys use for your benchrest shooting? I'm looking for something to put on a 6mmbr I plan on building. Everything I currently own is duplex. The mil-dot looks useful for windage purposes if I don't want to dial windage. The target dot versions look ok, but I was wondering if the "dot" covers up your aiming point too much?

Depends on what size of dot you get... 1/2 moa dot probably would cover too much of the target for most BR work... the 1/8 minute dot is pretty teeny. I've been pretty happy w/ duplex... medium, usually, fine, if I can get it. Dot reticles are pretty nice, if the target being used is compatible i.e. black dot on a black bull isn't always that easy to see.

I happen to have 2 premier boosted Leupold's with 1/8 min dots fine cross hairs.... the scopes my be considered "busy" with all the dots but once you are used to them they are very very useful ...
have had no problems at a 1000 or beyond or even point blank stuff

Thanks, I may stick with my duplex or fine crosshair. I think the mildots would be nice for windage for shooting different distances like pdog shooting.
