Well, I thought this would be easy, since I knew I had several (4 or 5) 1000-ct boxes of the Fed GMM 210m and only one 1000-ct CCI #200. However, I just now discovered I also have a box of 1000-ct CCI BR-200. So many primers, so little time.I shoot the 168 smk and since each rifle is different , testing will tell the story but it normally comes down the the federal gmm or the CCI lr..... The federal can be hard to find so I would try and work up a load on the CCI just because you can get them anywhere...
It really is about testing them to see what your rifle likes... Load up a few of each , fowl the barrel and shoot a few groups , this will tell you what you need... Even if they don't shoot perfect, they will still be great short range hunting and paper killers.. Plus you get to get some triggers time.. A win win...Well, I thought this would be easy, since I knew I had several (4 or 5) 1000-ct boxes of the Fed GMM 210m and only one 1000-ct CCI #200. PS: Also discovered a 1000-ct box of Remington No. 9½M. Are those any good for anything other than a doorstop? ...Maybe reloading for my milsurp rifles, 03A3 for example?
I've always used CCI250's with Varget in my .308's.Given the following only choice of primers for Berger 168 VLDs in .308 Lapua brass over either Varget or IMR 4064, would you choose Federal Gold Medal GM210M or CCI No. 200?
