Which neck turner?

This might be posted on here somewhere, as there is so much info on this forum, but I'm looking to buy a new neck turner. I can't decide between the K&M or the 21st Century. I like the features better on one than the other and vice versa. Any thoughts?

I think that either one would do a good job. Just make sure that you get a carbide turning mandrel.

I personally use K&M (and it works perfectly), but only because I bought them before I saw the 21st. I have heard great things about the 21st. Just be sure you get the same brand expander as you do turner, as this can/does cause issues when placing the brass on the turning mandrel. Not all .243 mandrels are created .243.

I personally have used K&M for four years and like it very much, in fact I have four of them for three calibers. One for my 6mm Beggs, two for my 6PPC, and one for my 30BR. Because they're so economical, I felt I could do that without denting my budget.

However, the 21st Century Turner has sparked my interest of late. As Wes has said, regardless of manufacturer, make sure you purchase both the Expander with matching Mandrel and the Turner with its corresponding Pilot from the same company. By doing so, your results will be consistent. Whatever you do, don't try to substitute a die's expander ball for the Expander's Mandrel or you'll experience numerous headaches.

To keep neck thickness consistent, you need to keep a neck turner set constantly for your particular rifle. That means you never change the setting. To do that, you need one neck turner dedicated for each gun. K&M does this for me, and they are the most economical. Do not buy any neck turner which has greater than .0002" adjustments. I know nothing about the new 21st Century, but it looks good.

The PMA neck turner looks pretty darn nice. http://www.pmatool.com/product_info.php/cPath/27_42/products_id/152
I'll be testing one in the near future.

I have a k&m been useing it over ten years. replaced the cutter once.
I also have a forster neck turner,i used to use it as my rough cutter for .262NK ppc cases.
the forster turner cuts very nice,i feel makes a smother deeper cut than the k&m but not as accurate as the k&m.thats why i just used it as a rough cut.
But i been looking at new turners,im in the market for one
I been looking at the new sinclair turner, does anyone have one or know anything about them.

I have 4 K&M's and Love-em I never have to change the settings.
Two for 6PPC
Two for 30BR

Bought a Gear Motor, put a collet on it, and I'm off to the races.

Just my 2cents worth

I use a 21st Century turner, I would recommend it, set up was was easy, it's comfortable in the hands, and cuts are precise and repeatable.
