Which front rest?

I am looking to purchase my first front rest to shoot F open. I am new to F open, don't know much about the rests at all. What considerations should be made when picking a front rest? I under stand buy once cry once.
Any advice is appreciated.

I usually recommend going to a match and trying some. I also recommend the hybrid X from 21st century in the end

As Dusty said go to a match and try them out. Most people will let you try theirs after the match. The most common ones you'll see are the Sebs. I like my rodzilla rest, haven't seen the 21st century yet but I'm sure it is also a great rest.

I started with a Randolf then bought a Farley now im using a SEB.
My Farley sits in the box... As a back up i suppose.
It's a very good rest for 1k and below.
Seb is 1300+
So it's about the money.

Hiding you caldwell behind your back???? My heavy rest is made from the elevator shaft from Doc Rinkers office from back in the 50s on Railroad Ave. West Palm Beach.
