Which Case for Kowa 88mm Spotting Scopes?

For those of you with the 88mm Kowa spotting scopes like the 883, do you recommend the C881 fitted case or the CNW-11 carrying case? I understand either can remain on the scope during use. Thanks.
 
The 881 fitted case is excellent. I have the equivalent model for my 773 and would not be without it. It's expensive, by offer much better protection than the zippered one, and it looks great. Eagle Optics had the best prices when I was looking for it a couple of years ago.
