which caliber 22br or 6mm br

Hey fella's,
which caliber would be better for p-doggin. I'm gonna build myself a rifle and I'm torn between the two. Hopefully your experiences will make up my mind.
Thanks, SPM

That's a tough call and one I'm struggling with now. I have a 6mm BR with a 1-14" twist and am considering getting a barrel chambered in 22 BR.

Build one rifle with TWO barrels!!!

Personally, I want to try a 22 BR with medium-heavy bullets, in the 70- to 80-gr. range. Probably a 1:8 or 1:9 twist.

I have had two 6 BRs with 1:14 twist and that's a hard combo to beat.

Go for a switch-barrel set-up and you'll be all set.

My 6BR is being built as a switch barrel, I would assume as long as you use the same barrel contour for your switch barrel there should'nt be a bedding fit problem? Obviously you would need to rezero your scope or have an alternate scope set up for the other barrel regardless of caliber. I am considering setting up a second barrel for this gun. Any pros / cons for the switch barrel? I already have a .223 22-250. Looking for an accurate midrange,100-400) caliber, another 6BR in a different twist or barrel length, 6-250 or 6x47? Any advice is greatly appreciated

After you have the 6br, and the 22br, then you really need a 20 br, and then maybe a 17br.
Just think of all the fun involved 'O)
