Which boltface for 6mm?

Is the .308 the right boltface to use for 6mm? I plan to build one of the Eliseo kits but I'm very new at this and don't fully understand actions. Does anyone know a good resource/book I can buy - Actions for Dummies?
 
When you say "6mm" what cartridge are you talking about? The 6mm BR, .243 Win, and 6mm Rem use a standard .308-sized boltface. The 6mm PPC uses a slightly smaller diameter bolt face, and a 6mm-223 would use an even smaller diameter.

Since you are talking about an Eliseo, I'll assume you are referring to the 6BR. Yes, it uses a standard .308 boltface.
 
Yes. 6BR. Sorry about that. Thanks for the answer. I just didn't know what the standard diameters were and which could be used for different calibers. Thanks again.
