Which bipod versa or harris?

I am looking to buy a bipod for mostly longrange hunting and some longrange target shooting, I have a mcmillan rem hunter edge stock with 1 sling stud in the front.
I want to be able to remouve the bipod easily as I might also be on a stand or in a blind, I also want to be able to set up fast and on some uneven ground. Which one and which model do you guys suggest?
Thx
Elmer

Not knowing any better, and going against the advice of others, I bought a "Versa Pod" from Midway. Quickly discovered it was yet another piece of crap "made in China", it was returned for a full refund, and I was turned-off on Bi-Pods, thinking they were all the same. My son then gave me a Harris, 9" to 13", locking legs, swivel with the pod lock, and I learned the truth: extreme high quality and a pleasure to use. A perfect choice for some of my "walking around" varmint rifles, like my Ruger #1, Rem 700, 222 Rem, etc. Like comparing a Yugo ( the Versa Pod) to a Mercedes ( the Harris). ;)

I have a Harris, and like it a lot, however a bipod (any brand) is no substitute for a good front rest, and rear bag when your shooting at long ranges. That said, I realize you cant always use a rest and bag, like when hunting over hill and dale, so a Harris will half to do, there as good as they get.

I hope you don't mind me stepping in here elmer, but since we're on the subject:

What leg length is usually the best for F class and such?

I use a 6"-9" Harris Swivel with Pod Loc, Pod Paws and try never to extend the legs so that my CG is as low as possible. I have a number of rear bags and shims to help adjust for the firing line differences.

After several years of using a Harris, I recently changed to an Atlas c/o Kasey.

Wished the Atlas had been available years ago - it has my vote!

Three options to fitting them - I went with the rail approach.

Is there a an option for a single stud like I have on my mcmillan? Cause they sure do look nice.

Harris all the way. I own three of them and they work great for me. I however, do not like the S models (swivel) as you need to keep tightening them.... therefore I only purchase the BR 6-9 model.
