Which 6x47 Lapua Dies

I am going to be chambering for the 6x47 Lapua and am wondering which dies everyone is using. Mine will be a no turn neck. I do like the Micrometer type seating dies and will use a FL sizing die. This probably narrows the choices to Redding and Forster.

Does anyone initially size down to 6mm using bushings. If so, is this a one step sizing.

Thanks, Zale

Zale, I size down with a fosters FL die. this is done in one step. Then i turn the brass and use a redding type-s fl die with a, "titamium" spelling, bushing. then a foster micro seater to finish it all off. I have 3 6x47L's and for the one i use a 6br redding seater die. The other 2 are for benchrest shooting and i use the foster die.

Hope this helps, Ollie

Howdy!

I've been buying/ using Hornady dies exclusively for 5yr now; to do my cartidge loading/relaoding.

Their combo shoulder bump/bushing neck size die accepts
Wilson-style bushings.

Hornday utilizes a " universal " style bullet seater, in that calibre and case changes are accomodated by the swappingout of floating sleeves that hold the cse, and dieffering cal-specific bullet seater stems. Horandy also can make up cusotm seater stems to fit you favorite, including non-Hornady ) bullets.

You can add their " micro-just " micrometer seater top for
a low price; and then have all the bullet seating capability you could ever want. Seated bullet run-out on the loads I made w/ Hornady dies; was fine.

Best of luck in your endeavors !
