Which 6BR Neck Bushing?

What size neck bushing are you guys using for:

blue box Lapua

no turn neck

105 vld, and hybreds?


Reamer is a .271 neck, and unloaded brass neck measures .2665". I haven't seated a test bullet yet.

Seat a bullet and measure. Get a bushing of 2 and 3 thousandth smaller that loaded round. Matt

1 was using a 267 bushing with a 271 neck. loaded round was 269 for a2 thou neck tension.

I had a 6 br and liked to use a .266 bushing, blue box brass isnt as thick as the older stuff

I bought a .265 and a .266, and am thinking I'll need the .266".

Just wanted to hear from several guys...as I'm assuming the 6MM BR is a popular round, and there are several guys shooting a 105 in theirs.

With a "No Turn Neck" in your reamer (.2704 to .272) a .266 will get you right at 2k neck tension with "Blue Box" brass. I turn my necks to just clean them up, and I get very slightly over 1K neck tension using a .266 honed out Forster F/L die..

Thanks Ben. I'll probably touch up the necks a tad...50-80%. So the .266 will probably give me exactly what I want. And if it's not enough, I'm covered with the .265.

Blue Box, no turn and 105 Hybrids. This works for me.

.268 with bullet seated
.270 after firing

I have also used a .267 bushing with the results about the same as the .266

I mainly shoot the 105 hybrids and jump them about .020 to .030 with the results about the same.

My numbers as well with a .2704" chamber neck. .266" works beautifully.
