Where to purchase Savage Barrels

I have a Savage Model 10 Predator in 204 that I have had since they were first introduced...this is the one that is totally camo...not the newer ones with fluted barrels. It has been my primary coyote rifle and I have put several hundreds of rounds thru it in load development and hunting. It is the factory barrel and was a real shooter but its starting to "show its age" and I would like to replace it with the same contour. I cannot seem to find a manufacturer that shows this barrel contour...it is advertised by savage as a medium heavy varmint contour...it is a straight taper and is 22" long, can someone direct me to where I could find a direct replacement so I don't have to change/alter the stock inlet? I don't need it to be camo like it came from the factory...just want it to be the same length and profile/contour. Thanks

There is several barrel makers that make barrels chambered and ready to go... forget the name of the one im thinking of right away though..

Looked on Northland web site and they don't show anything shorter than 26" and I wasn't able to see where they had any contour specs listed...I know it can be cut down from 26" to 22" but then the OD measurements won't be the same as the factory 22"...probably will have to send the barrel in and have one made off of that regardless of where I get one. Just thought that since it is a factory barrel that someone would have an exact duplicate. Currently waiting on some information from x-caliber barrels and will have to give Jim a call if things don't work out there. Another question in regards to a chambered pre-fit...do you have choices on reamer specs or are you pretty much at their mercy? Hopefully they have a little shorter throats than most factory 204 chambers. Thanks for all the replies.

Try here. They sell factory barrels for the Savages, but some times it is luck of the draw.

The barrel list on NSS typically is not up to date, so give Jim a call. CBI barrels are very good!

Black Hole Weaponry barrels are the only Savage barrels I use for my builds these days.
I have yet to have one that did not print sub moa @ 100 yards & beyond.
They do what you want & more so. The wait time is a lot shorter than most also.
Medium Heavy Varmint is also called heavy sporter which I use.

Benchmark Barrels will copy your original barrel right over the phone, just have a calipers in hand.

Jim at North land can take care of you. He got me a 14" CBI barrel for my savage striker and I was able to chose the freebore I wanted it. Great guy to deal with

buy right from savage used to be 3 to 400 bucks depending on taper model etc.

Savage does not sell their barrels. I had Jim at Northland call them several ears ago, and they told him no. I wound up sending my rifle to Savage and they replaced the barrel with a factory original. Cost was a few bucks short of $400. You might also try Sharpshooters Supply.

I ended up putting a Benchmark barrel on it. I had the blank already and didn't want to spend $400 for a factory barrel, so I made the benchmark work...wasn't the exact contour but close enough.
