Where to aim

I feel my rifle is capable of 3/4-1” groups at 300 yards. Wind flags out but seeing no noticeable change in velocity or direction.
10 ring is 1 1/4”. Shoot 4-5 sighters and feel like centered. Go up for score. 1st shot just right of center. 2nd shot cuts the line on the left(about 3/4” left). Where do I aim the next shot?

My take is that if you are trying to prove the rifles consistency, you should not move your aim point, which should give you the group that your rifle+ammo+you system is generally capable of shooting.

Once you figure that out, you can start looking for trends and cheat towards what it "normally" does. Don't be surprised if it does something different.

If you take 2 shots and expect to be able to predict where the next shot is going, you are essentially doing the same as someone who fires one shot and adjusts the scope, then fires another and adjusts, ad nauseum. You'll be doing that all day.

Where to start?
How good are you at reading the wind? Doesn't take much to move the bullet at bit at 300.
What cartridge are you using? Wind resistance can vary a fair amount.
Have you done any load development? If not, you'd want to do that first.
Presumably you're shooting off a bench, yes? What are your group sizes when you have a load tuned to your rifle?

Tuning good as I can do. Question probably should be is the left shot just a part of the group. I have then held for the miss and hit the opposite side or worse shot it out right. BRA and Dasher

Do your flags have a ribbon tail or just a flag.
