Where is the IMR Enduron Powder?

Has anyone seen this lately? I have several lbs on the 4166 and 4451 but can’t find any more. Wondering if it is even being produced.

Only from what Hodgdon states about manufacturing running 24/7..... so take that for what it's worth. I haven't heard any talk on our canadian forums of IMR halting or slowing production. We are told that military and LE contracts are priority though.

General Dynamics plant in Valleyfield Quebec makes all the
IMR stick powders. I'd start there. Don't look to Hodgdon,
They are brand line packagers and not manufacturers.
Just to further clarify, Hodgdon never has and does not manufacture ANY smokeless powder. They either license or own the trademarks for IMR, Winchester Powder, Accurate, and Ramshot. IMR powders come from Valleyfield, Quebec, with the exception of IMR 8208XBR which is ADI in Australia. Winchester Ball and Hodgdon Spherical are St. Marks in Florida, Some Accurate is Valleyfield and St Marks, some is various European. Ramshot is St Marks, I believe. It will be interesting to see what ends up in Ramshot and Accurate now that they are Hodgdon brands.

Hodgdon Extreme are all ADI. Both Valleyfield (old DuPont) and St Marks (Old Olin, Winchester/Western) are General Dynamics.

I have not been tracking tons of sites but the last time I remember seeing the Enduron available was two years ago. I’m not sure if I should keep and use my 4166 and 4955 or sell it………

Yes, but they own the IMR company and brand and negotiate / place the production orders with contractors like General Dynamics Valleyfield (likewise Thales / ADI and General Dynamics St. Marks for Hodgdon grades). That puts Hodgdon Powder in the driving seat and even if Valleyfield is increasingly diverting production capacity to government orders, they won't pass that sort of information on to you or me. Hodgdon is their customer, not us, and it's Hodgdon who should be able and willing to keep its customers informed.

Ramshot is mostly (all?, don't have every one to look at) PB Clermont from Belgium, not St. Marks.

Yes. The former Belgian government powder manufacturer originally bought the know-how and production rights to make ball powders from the old Olin Corporation not that long after WW2 and makes nothing other than this type. All Ramshot grades come from there, and since at least one handloading data-set is identical for a Ramshot and Accurate powder, appears to have been the source for the odd Accurate grade too for a time.

Long since privatised and now part of the Eurenco energetics multinational, it has got decades of its own R&D behind it and makes some of the most advanced versions of the powder type. As ball powders are preferred by military smallarms ammo manufacturers, that's where the overwhelming majority of its output goes in sales across all western countries. It does mean that though that if government demand rises as is allegedly happening thanks to Comrade Putin and his threatening the rest of us, that handloading supplies may be squeezed or cut off.
