Where did AR Comp go?

Hey everyone. I’ve been looking for Alliant AR Comp for nearly a year and am signed up for in stock notifications just about everywhere. With most powders you at least see them come into stock (even if you’re not fast enough to get them).

Anyone know what happened to this powder? Did Alliant discontinue it? Just about every other Alliant powder seems to be occasionally coming into stock but not this one.

Anyone have a recommended substitute? I had a great 308 load worked up with AR comp and 168 grain SMKs but have long since run out of AR comp.

8208, 4895, 4064 should all perform pretty well. 2495 is typically available recently. Then there are some pretty good ball powders that may work in a pinch.

You ain't the only one to notice ARComp has been absent lately...
There are some numbers on those automatic notification service sites that show when the last time something was in stock. Here is a little view of the last times ARComp was offered by the vendors I watch. The shortest one is 148 days ago, and most are way longer than that. I didn't score on the Powder Valley drop, so I am still waiting like everybody else.

The Swedes are slow.

That, and I think you will find Vista Federal is making Gold Medal Match with the large majority of it.

Which I am going to assume is going to government agencies.
