Where are all the old Benchrest rifles?

I’ve been following that website. Is it an actual shop? I go to Allentown a few times a year and it’s a little over an hour from there.
I’m currently working on a deal for a Bat B currently
I haven’t been there but I’ve wanted to go. Might be appointment only or it might be open normal business hours. Call them!!
I really would like to go but I’m in this 12 step “Program”. My wife says I have to stay at least 12 steps from the door of any gun shop.

I was at the shop maybe 7 years ago. Call ahead and set something up if he has an item of interest.

My son picked this up a few years ago. It’s a 6 BR REM in a Culver action. I was really hoping some of you guys with more knowledge could tell us a little more about it.

The stock was made by a gentleman by the name of Gilkerson. I can't tell you how long they were made, but they were made in the late 70's. I had one of them that I got in 1976.
Edit to add that the gentleman's first name was Orlin. If I remember correctly he was from Ohio.

Is that a sleeve over an action or is it an action? Hart made a cantilevered action like that. See photos by snooping on the Shooter's Corner. Homer might have put a sleeve over a 722 or similar action.

It’s not a sleeve. That is the action. The only markings on it are the H.L. Culver on the left side and the number 68 on the right side. It’s a really good shooting rifle. We just put it away and haven’t spent much time with it.

It seems to be a very solid stock. The action was originally glued in. Thank you for supplying this information. I will look into this.
