when will i learn?

i work up loads by using different powders with the same bullet and will usually put these loads in the same box. go to the range, shoot in order, record everything and reduce the data when i get home. i pick the best combo and load enough . the lesser loads are sometimes left in the box for sighters or for shooting rocks, etc. yesterday i'm overlooking a huge alfalfa field and the big kahoona stands up!!! broad shoulders and no neck. lock and load and bang...the pig runs to his hole un scathed! round no 2 and bang...missed! you guessed it. i was shooting load 'B', and it's poi was not the same as the chosen load. that box is now filled only with the chosen combo. i know where this ghog lives and i'm paying him a visit today...

Sounds like normal behavior to me. Do it all the time.

See the reloading section for more ways to goof up. Makes us feel human,

i returned to the same field with the good stuff and events were a bit different. the first ghog at 262 yds went without a struggle...68 cheek from my 6 BR. two big reds at the same time! it was my buddy's shot and HE MISSED! both ran to different holes, so we waited. junior came out for a snack and the 60 gr berger from the 22 BR ventilated him a bit. the big boys stayed put, so i'll have to wait until sat to return...i'll be back.
