When is it time to fully clean your brass?

I clean mine EVERY time. Dirty brass into a pricey die does no good for anything involved. Folks need to clean their dies on a regular basis as well. I have seen numerous times in the past guys complaining about accuracy/sizing/chambering issues only to find their dies were filthy. Clean them the same way you would a rifle barrel.
Years ago buddy built a 6.5BR. Forward another couple of years. He was fooling with some new brass and after he FL sized virgin brass it looked like hell. He pretty much had ruined them from not cleaning scratches and impregnated crap the never did get polished out or come clean. Redding replaced them surprisingly. Lesson learned.

I fl size then wet tumble all brass each time after pdogging, usually 300 t 400 rounds. Since I'm not target shooting for 1 hole groups this is perfect for me.
Now when I only shoot a handfull of my other calibers I just reload with no special cleaning or steps.

I clean before resizing either wet tumble or dry tumble. Sometimes just wash the brash in hot water and lemi shine, get the outside clean but not the inside.
